Start of project to provide partial services (soil removal and sediment input) in the UBAproject "Analysis of transformation processes for phosphorus for the further development of nationwide material input modelling" on behalf of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT)
In the course of updating and further developing the sediment input modelling carried out with the MoRe model in the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany, the soil erosion and sediment input into the water systems is calculated on a grid-based basis and aggregated to the analysis areas of the MoRe model.
The calculations are performed with high resolution in a 10 m x 10 m grid. The modelling is processed by a fully automated workflow using methods of High Performance Computing to make the large data volumes manageable.
The presentation and evaluation of the model data is done in the STOFFBILANZ Viewer. This provides a suitable platform for discussions and data exchange within the project group.
